Returns & Replacement Policy

Before initiating a product return with Craafted, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the unique craftsmanship involved in our products. Crafted exclusively by traditional rural artisans, each item is handmade using ancestral techniques, resulting in distinctiveness and slight variations among products. We consider these nuances, such as minor roughness, subtle shape variations, imperfections, or the absence of a flawless finish, as inherent features rather than defects. This is the essence of handmade products, affirming their authenticity and distinguishing them from machine-made counterparts. Craafted stands firmly behind the quality of our offerings.

We kindly urge you to read the instruction leaflet carefully before the initial use of any product. Please note that failure to follow precautions or care instructions, especially during the first 10-15 uses for some products, may render any replacement or refund claims void.

To ensure a satisfactory purchase experience, we recommend thoroughly reviewing product details before making a selection. Certain fragile items, such as Soapstone/Kalchatti and Clay ware, are designated as non-returnable and are explicitly highlighted on the product page. Please take note of these restrictions when placing your order. Requests for return or exchange of designated non-returnable products will not be approved.

Return & Replacement Policy - Shipments within India Region

Returns or replacements are applicable only in the rare instance that your Craafted products arrive damaged. To initiate this process, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Notification: Email care@craafted.in  within 2 days of receiving your order, including a picture of the damaged item. Your email should include:
    • Picture of the damaged product.
    • Order number in the subject line.
    • Specify if you prefer a refund, exchange, or credit coupon for the product.
    • State the reason for return (e.g., handle cracked).
  2. Note on Clay and Soapstone Products: We do not entertain return or exchanges for Clay and Soapstone/kalchatti products. Return pick-up often results in damage to these items. Replacement or refund is processed only for products damaged during transit.
  3. Quality Check and Authorization: Our team will contact you within 24 hours via phone, WhatsApp, or email to assess your request. Authorization for return is granted after validation by our quality team. The decision on the query's validity lies solely with the Craafted team.
  4. Timely Claim Submission: Failure to raise a return claim via email within the stipulated time frame renders you ineligible for a return.
  5. Refund/Exchange Process: We aim to process refunds or exchanges within approximately 10-12 working days after receiving the item and completing necessary quality checks. Craafted will initiate a pickup for the product, unless it is unserviceable or falls under the non-exchangeable category.
  6. Refund Options: Upon authorization of the return of a damaged product, Craafted offers a refund matching the damaged product's value. Alternatively, you can exchange the damaged product for a fresh one or opt for a credit coupon for future purchases.
  7. Return Shipping: Ensure the returned product is unused, undamaged, and in saleable condition. Maintain the original packaging, including Craafted tags, to prevent any loss or damage during transit.
  8. Timeframe for Exchange Request: If you opt for self-couriering, ship the product within 7 days of receiving approval for the return request. Requests for exchange must be approved within the 7-day period, or they will be rejected.
  9. Shipping Charges: Both onward and return shipping charges will not be refunded, as Craafted subsidizes the onward shipping cost for its customers.
  10. Refund or Credit Coupon: Clearly mention your preference for a refund or a credit coupon in your email.

Return & Replacement Policy - Shipments outside India Region

For international shipments, we prioritize special precautions to ensure product safety. Currently, we do not facilitate reverse pickups from any region. Please carefully review product details with our customer support team before making a purchase. Returns or replacements are only applicable if products arrive damaged.

  1. Damaged International Shipments: If you find any product damaged upon opening the package, take pictures and share them with us at care@craafted.in
  2. Refund Policy: Refunds up to 100% of the damaged product's value are issued as per our policy.
  3. Replacements: Replacements with additional shipping costs may be provided on a case-by-case basis, as agreed upon by the customer.

All returns and replacements are subject to the discretion of the Craafted team, based on our policies.
